You can now watch digital TV in your Proton X70 via the MYTV Mana-Mana content streaming app, thanks to a collaboration between MYTV, Aco Tech and Proton.
Communications minister Fahmi Fadzil said yesterday that the MYTV digital terrestrial TV platform’s viewership is currently at around 7.5 million, Bernama reports.
“I’ve been informed that MYTV and the Commercial Radio Malaysia (CRM) association plan to engage with the investment, trade and industry ministry (MITI) to explore the feasibility of integrating this application into the infotainment head units of vehicles, including EVs,” he said.
Fahmi added that MYTV has made efforts to introduce the digital TV service on Keretapi Tanah Melayu Berhad‘s (KTMB) business-class carriages, and that it could make its way to in-flight entertainment in the future as well.
Founded in 2014, MYTV provides free digital terrestrial television in Malaysia. There are over 30 TV channels and radio stations, and a lot of movies, series and documentaries too – check it out here.
